AI Editorial Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

We use AI writing tools to help draft articles on Truth In Flirting, and our team checks and edits every article before it’s published. This page explains how.

How we use AI

  • Drafting: AI tools help us outline articles and write first drafts.
  • Editing: our team edits each draft for accuracy, clarity, and tone. We remove claims we can’t trace to a source and add links where we cite research, books, or experts.
  • Book reviews: our reviews are research summaries, not first-hand readings. They are drafted with AI tools from the publisher’s description, the author’s own summaries and interviews, and published reader reviews.
  • Images: some images on the site are AI-generated or stock images. They illustrate the topic and do not show real readers or real couples.

How we label it

Every article ends with a note saying it was drafted with AI tools and edited by our team. We apply this note across the site, so it also covers articles published before this policy was updated.

What AI doesn’t decide

  • Which books we review and what our verdict is
  • Whether a claim is presented as fact or as one possible interpretation
  • Anything in our Affiliate Disclosure

Authors

Taylor Mowery and Monica Bagwell are pen names used by our editorial team. See About Us.
